Crystal Shawanda pours her heart and soul into her music because it is her lifeline. A Native American, Crystal grew up on the Wikwemikong Indian Reserve in Ontario, Canada. Her last name, Shawanda, literally translates into the album title, DAWN OF A NEW DAY and a new day is what music has given Crystal. Music was her source of hope growing up on a reservation. So it makes sense that Crystal can deliver an album with the type of honesty and sincerity that make her relatable to any audience. This is evident with her debut single You Can Let Go.
